A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
“His heart danced upon her movements like a cork upon a tide. He heard what her eyes said to him from beneath their cowl and knew that in some dim past, whether in life or revery, he had heard their tale before.”
― James Joyce, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
I have spent most of my life in isolation and depression. And as an artist, I have always tried to express my inner feelings with visual language. This collection includes several portraits created using very minimal elements. The portrait of each person says a lot about his inner self and features. The shape of the eyes and the shape of the lips can explain the special conditions of most of us.
The idea of this collection goes back to years ago when I was depressed for a long time and I used to stand in the mirror of my room and stare at my portrait and my eyes.
